What elements of nature and people createtogether.

All works of kogei are shaped by the elements of nature. Elements supporting the lives of people who use them. Elements as material in the making of crafted wares and household goods. There, a deep abundance exists that nature cultivates.

All works of kogei are made by the hands of people. In step with people’s lives, and to benefit those lives, forms are changed, little by little, and evolve. There, an honesty exists that people embrace.

Kogei. Japanese craft. What elements of nature and people create together. If one thinks about it, we Japanese have been with kogei since birth.

What has long been with us. What we wish to pass on. One hundred years from today.
